Summer Fair
This year's fair had to fit around the major roadworks and the large hoardings in the playground. In spite of all that and the terrible downpours in June, we managed to have a very successful and well attended fair. Even the weather gods were smiling on us too, as we had a sweltering heatwave on the day. There were more burgers, more Pimms and more new activities this year.
Every year, the highlight of the Friends of Bowes events calendar is the Bowes Primary School Summer Fayre. This year the Fayre was held on Sunday 26th June 2011.
We managed to raise around £5800, which is really fantastic for our school, so thank you to everyone who came along. We hope you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Huge thanks must go to Sarah Skinner, Stephanie Bee, Bob Eyres, Suzanne Green, Ingrid Mustoe, Sally Eustance, Chris McNeill, Alison Clarke, Cathy Carman, Gaby and and everyone else who turned up to help set up, clear up, run a stall or contribute to the event's success in some way.
